This is my first year with Global Brigades. I am currently majoring in Psychology. My favorite thing about the Ghana brigade was not only how much it truly changed my view on medicine as a whole, but how much culture shock I experienced. It took me flying across the world to realize how unstructured health care is in rural areas. I loved how much I took away from this experience, and especially how I can apply what I learned there, back here in the states. My personal views and thoughts remain open since the brigade. |

This is my second year with Global Brigades. I have a major in Biochemistry at Wayne State. I loved the raw experience that focuses on the medical aspect of a country that is still developing, and being able to contribute to their medical care. This past trip was an eye-opening experience that I don't think I could ever fully experience elsewhere in the world. |

This is my fourth year with Global Brigades. I am a Pyschology major. My favorite thing about Global Brigades is that we get to visit an impoverished country and set up clinics to provide medical attention to disadvantaged people. By doing so, we are able to ensure that these people get a chance to see a health care professional and get their necessary medications. |

This is my second year with Global Brigades. I am majoring in Biomedical Physics. I loved being able to work alongside people of the same enthusiasm and intentions while providing care to the communities. It was fascinating to learn about their culture, to get to know the people of the communities and understand their major health concerns compared to ours. |
